Senior Email Deliverability Manager

What We Are Looking For:

As a Senior Email Deliverability Manager, you will be a part of our customer-facing deliverability team & will work with our 400+ eCommerce clients. The perfect candidate will be an expert in everything deliverability from monitoring and alerting on inbox thresholds to having in-depth knowledge on ISPs. You will be responsible for maintaining relationships with the leading ISPs and staying abreast of industry trends. 

What You Will Do:

  • Provide consultative email deliverability professional services to our customers
  • Conduct in-depth investigations, reviews, and audits into email sending practices
  • Assist customers with blocklists, spam traps, and issues with ISPs
  • Monitor delivery metrics and provide resolution to improve the key KPIs
  • Provide in-depth analysis of clients' email programs, to ensure improved deliverability overall and adhering to best practices
  • Work closely with product and analytics teams to improve email reporting 


What Skills You Need To Have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in a data-driven email deliverability role
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably with eCommerce senders
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to run and analyze email deliverability reports and make data-driven recommendations
  • Experience with ESPs like Sendgrid, Sparkpost, and third-party deliverability vendors, like Return Path/Validity, 250OK, Kickbox & TowerData
  • Familiarity with DNS & authentication protocols (e.g., DKIM, SPF, DMARC)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest Gmail and Yahoo announcement
  • Working knowledge of CNAME DNS record types, Google Postmaster & SNDS
  • Understanding of bounce handling and categorization
  • Experience in communicating with ISP abuse desks and email blocklist providers for preemptive and reactive mitigations 
  • Knowledge of spam regulations & compliance policies, like CAN-SPAM, GDPR and CASL
  • Ability to document troubleshooting and problem resolution steps
